Mike Pony is a Live Art mongrel, disc jockey and freelance journalist. He has reviewed for Bristol’s Mayfest and Venue Magazine and shown work at
international performance festivals such as FIERCE and Inbetween Time. View his most recent Artist Statement for more detailed information about his performance practice or browse the performance page.
Mike runs and DJ’s at Horseplay, an underground homo disco in a sweaty basement in Bristol playing disco, nudisco and indie dance. Previously resident at Bristol’s alternative stablemate Wonky, he has also played sets at art events and one off parties such as Eat Your Heart Out, Lift Festival at the ICA and Bristol’s Wonderland.
Mike holds a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in One-to-One Performance from the University of Bristol (2010).
